It is meant to be open ended and left to the reader. But in another sense it also is meant to imply, to me, that no relationship is all good and you will never love every single thing about a person.
I like that the end is left to the reader to go either way....I'm thinking in the negative. Don't know why. Just a vibe! And, as you said above, no one is perfect and we will never love absolutely everything about someone (well maybe in the beginning when or rosy glasses are foggy with newness). Nicely done.
I love how you leave the end open to the reader's imagination. The first two wishes strike me as very real and profound.
ReplyDeleteIs "I got you" a good or bad thing? I agree with Lumdog about the first 2 wishes.

DeleteOooooh ... ouch ... if indeed that is a bad consequence ... but I got a youch.
ReplyDeleteWell, I hope the last is better than the first two. :)

ReplyDeleteHmmm, now is that last a good thing or a bad...? ;)
ReplyDeleteI see in all three wishes, the result is a mix of good and bad, depending on how you look at.
